More spooky tampering with the space and the time thinger and more bits get painted...

The metal base was primed and sprayed with traditional auto satin black paint and the plastic feet were painted with the black vinyl dye. I had considered using alternative colours but again, in the interests of frugality I stuck to paint I already had.

I never bothered to remove the base, just masked it off and sprayed.

Whilst the paint dried, I removed the built in fan grill from the case front with snips and tidied it up with a file. (Or was it done before or after? All this messing with physical legality makes it hard to tell!).

A quick test fit to see how the case was taking shape...

I settled on the black tint for the window behind the tubing. I also fitted five 3mm LEDs into the square cut out on the front where the door lock used to locate. This will become a lit case badge.
